A delicious Nutella Cheesecake Brownie featuring a layer of melt-in-your-mouth brownie, creamy cheesecake, and a swirl of Nutella (for an 8 inch/20cm square brownie - 16 servings).
Ingredients
Chocolate Brownies
- 113 g (1/2 cup) Butter - unsalted
- 150 g (5.3 oz or 1 cup) Baking chocolate - semi-sweet
- 130 g (2/3 cup) Granulated sugar
- 2 Eggs - room temperature
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 30 g (1/4 cup) Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 90 g (3/4 cup) Flour - cake flour
- 1 pinch of Salt
Vanilla Cheesecake
- 220 g (7.8 oz or 1 cup) Cream cheese
- 1 Egg - room temperature
- 50 g (1/4 cup) Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Nutella Swirl
Instructions
- Melt butter and dark baking chocolate together in a double boiler until fully melted.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer for about 2 minutes until frothy.
- Incorporate the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the egg mixture.
- Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt together, then fold them into the mixture gently with a spatula.
- Pour the batter into a lined brownie pan and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk cream cheese, egg, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer and smooth it out with an offset spatula.
- Dot with teaspoons of slightly melted Nutella and use a knife to create swirls.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before unmolding and cutting into 16 equal portions.
