Mix all the ingredients together in the bowl of your stand mixer with the dough hook until you have a smooth ball. Then let the dough rise for 2 hours at room temperature.
Combine filling ingredients, brown sugar and cinnamon ground and set aside
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to form a large rectangle. Spread the softened butter over the entire surface first. Then add the sugar and cinnamon mixture and spread it over the butter.
Roll the dough on itself to form a long sausage. Cut with a knife into several pieces and place on a baking dish. Cover with a cloth and let it grow for 1 hour.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F until cinnamon rolls are golden brown on top. Let them cool down a bit.
Place all ingredients in a medium bowl, softened butter, softened cream cheese, confectioner's sugar and vanilla. Mix with an electric mixer for about 2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
Apply the cream cheese frosting to the top of the buns and serve slightly warm.
