Mix the flour with the powdered sugar and the pinch of salt, then add the cold butter and rub with your hands until you have a sandy mixture. Finish by adding the cold water and form a ball of dough.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured work surface and top the center with the applesauce.
Arrange the sliced apples in the middle of the dough and fold the edges of the dough over to form a round tart.
Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the apple tart and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for about 35-40 minutes.
