How to make the classic French Apple Tart in a easy and rustic way with a pie crust filled with applesauce and sliced apples.

Step 1: Pie Crust

Mix the flour with the powdered sugar and the pinch of salt, then add the cold butter and rub with your hands until you have a sandy mixture. Finish by adding the cold water and form a ball of dough.

Step 2: Set up

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured work surface and top the center with the applesauce.

Step 2: Add sliced apples

Arrange the sliced apples in the middle of the dough and fold the edges of the dough over to form a round tart.

Step 3: Baking

Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the apple tart and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for about 35-40 minutes.

Step 5 : Enjoy !

Enjoy slightly warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a salted caramel sauce.
