INGREDIENTS 

- Egg yolks - Sugar - Cornstarch - Milk - Vanilla pod - Heavy cream

Step 1: Whisk the yolks with the sugar.

Step 2: Add the cornstarch and stir.

Step 3: Bring the milk and vanilla pod seeds to the boil.

Step 4: Stir the hot milk into the egg yolk mixture and return to the saucepan.

Step 5: Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.

Step 6: Place in a dish, cover and chill in the fridge until completely chilled.

Step 7: Mix the pastry cream with the whipped cream until fluffy. 

Enjoy! Use diplomat cream in cake and desserts.
