Description

The easy recipe for almond oven baked donuts with maple syrup glaze for about 12 donuts.


Ingredients

  • 80 g Sugar
  • 180 g buttermilk
  • 75 g Vegetable oil (Grape seed oil)
  • 1 egg
  • 190 g Flour
  • 50 g Almond meal
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Donuts

  1. Preheat your oven to 356°F / 180°C and grease the donuts pan with butter or grease spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, oil, buttermilk, egg, liquid vanilla, almond extract and maple syrup until smooth.
  3. Then add the dry ingredients, flour, almond meal, baking powder and salt and mix gently until smooth.
  4. Pour your mixture into each cavity of your donut pan and bake for about 15 minutes.

Glaze

  1. In a bowl place the confectioner's sugar, pour in the other ingredients and whisk together until you have a slightly thick but not too runny glaze.
  2. Dip each donut into the glaze and then place on a wire rack to let the glaze drip off and sprinkle with crushed nuts.
