Description
Recipe to make a chocolate chip mug cake for 1 standard mug, soft and cookie-style, cooked in the microwave.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place the dry ingredients in the mug (flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt) and mix well with a tablespoon.
- Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high power for 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds max, until just set.
- Let cool slightly, then enjoy with vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
Storage: Best eaten immediately. Do not store or reheat.

- Use a mug of at least 12 oz to avoid overflow
- Stop cooking while the center is still soft
