Description
This delicious Nutella mug cake recipe is a quick and easy dessert, ready in just a few minutes in the microwave. Soft and gooey with a molten Nutella center, it's the perfect dessert for a quick chocolate fix. (Serves 1 mug)
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp flour - 30 g (about 1/4 cup)
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder - 25 g (about 1/4 cup)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar - (about 1/8 cup)
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil - 30 ml (about 1/8 cup)
- 4 tbsp milk - 60 ml (about 1/4 cup)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 tbsp Nutella
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients—flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and brown sugar.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla, and stir until you have a smooth batter.
- Pour half of the batter into the mug, then add the Nutella in the center and cover with the remaining batter.
- Microwave for 1 to 1.5 minutes at 800 watts until the center is fully cooked.
- Let it cool slightly before enjoying with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream.
Notes
Enjoy Immediately: The Nutella mug cake is best enjoyed warm, right after cooking, to fully appreciate the gooey center.
Not Suitable for Storage: Mug cakes can become dry if reheated, so it's recommended to prepare and enjoy it fresh.
