Description

This Oreo mug cake is a quick and easy treat that takes just 1 minute in the microwave. It's soft, gooey, and studded with Oreo pieces, making it the perfect dessert for an instant sweet craving.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp milk - 1/4 cup (60 ml)
  • 2 tbsp flour - 2 tbsp (1/8 cup, 30 g)
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder - 2 tbsp (1/8 cup, 25 g)
  • 2 tbsp sugar - 2 tbsp (1/8 cup)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil - 2 tbsp (1/8 cup, 30 ml)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 Oreos

Instructions

  1. In a mug or bowl, mix the dry ingredients—flour, sugar, baking powder, and cocoa.
  2. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, then mix again until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Fold in the Oreo pieces and stir quickly to combine.
  4. Microwave the mug cake for 1 to 1.5 minutes (at 800 watts). Check the doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
  5. Let it cool slightly, then enjoy with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Best Enjoyed Immediately: The Oreo mug cake is best when eaten right after cooking, while it's still warm and gooey.

Do Not Reheat: Reheating the mug cake can make it dry. It's recommended to prepare and enjoy it immediately.

Freezing Not Recommended: This dessert is not suitable for freezing due to its delicate texture after cooking.

Tips:

- Use a large enough mug to prevent the batter from overflowing while cooking.

- Mix the ingredients well to achieve a smooth, lump-free batter.

- Cook in 30-second intervals to monitor doneness and avoid overcooking.

- Add extra Oreo pieces to the batter for an even crunchier and more indulgent effect.

- Let the mug cake rest for 1-2 minutes after cooking to allow it to finish setting and become fluffier.

- Decorate with whipped cream, additional Oreo pieces, or melted chocolate for an extra indulgent dessert.
