Description

Easy and fast is the skillet chocolate chip cookie, a recipe for a giant chocolate chip cookie, baked in a iron skillet in the oven (for a 8 inch / 20 cm pan about 8 -10 parts)

Ingredients

  • 120 g Butter (softened)
  • 50 g Sugar (powdered)
  • 50 g Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 3 pinch Sea salt
  • 150 g Chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter and the 2 sugars in a large bowl and beat with a hand mixer for about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Then add the egg and vanilla extra and continue beating for another minute.
  3. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, sea salt and mix with a wooden spoon.
  4. Finish by adding the chocolate chips and mix gently, just until the chocolate holds to the batter.
  5. Cover the dough with cling film and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 8 inch / 20 cm cast iron skillet.
  7. Take the dough out of the fridge and with the help of a spoon pour it into the iron skillet and with the back of the spoon gently squeeze the dough.
  8. Add chocolate chips on top and bake in the oven for 15-17 min.
  9. Let the skillet chocolate cool completely before serving unless you want it warm.
