Description
Easy and fast is the skillet chocolate chip cookie, a recipe for a giant chocolate chip cookie, baked in a iron skillet in the oven (for a 8 inch / 20 cm pan about 8 -10 parts)
Ingredients
- 120 g Butter (softened)
- 50 g Sugar (powdered)
- 50 g Brown sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 200 g Flour
- 1/2 tsp Cornstarch
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 3 pinch Sea salt
- 150 g Chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place the softened butter and the 2 sugars in a large bowl and beat with a hand mixer for about 1-2 minutes.
- Then add the egg and vanilla extra and continue beating for another minute.
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, sea salt and mix with a wooden spoon.
- Finish by adding the chocolate chips and mix gently, just until the chocolate holds to the batter.
- Cover the dough with cling film and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 8 inch / 20 cm cast iron skillet.
- Take the dough out of the fridge and with the help of a spoon pour it into the iron skillet and with the back of the spoon gently squeeze the dough.
- Add chocolate chips on top and bake in the oven for 15-17 min.
- Let the skillet chocolate cool completely before serving unless you want it warm.
