How to make the traditional French strawberry tart, made of a sweet crust filled with almond cream,  pastry cream and fresh strawberries.

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the butter pieces and sand the mixture, then add the egg and gather the dough. Roll out the dough and cover a 10 inch pie pan.

Mix all ingredients together with an electric mixer, sugar, butter, eggs and almond meal.

Bake the pie crust at 347°F for 15 minutes, then fill with the almond cream and bake again for 15 minutes, then let cool completely.

Make the pastry cream recipe and let it cool completely in the fridge until assembling the tart.

Fill the tart shell with the pastry cream filling and decorate with the fresh strawberries cut in 2.

Serve immediately with a bit of powdered sugar or whipped cream.
