Place spoonfuls of nutella on a baking sheet and leave to rest in the freezer.

In a large bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, oil, butter and vanilla.

Add the buttermilk and stir to incorporate.

Add the dry ingredients and mix gently until smooth.

Pour the batter into a muffin tin in paper cases and add the frozen nutella hearts.

Cover with a little pastry, add a little nutella again to form a swirl with a knife.

Bake muffins at 420°F for 5 minutes, then turn down to 350°F and bake for a further 15 minutes.
