Description

Make creamy, nutritious almond purée with this easy recipe, great for spreading, mixing into yogurt, or adding to desserts. (one jar)

Ingredients

  • 400 g (2 3/4 cups) Almonds - organic and raw with skin

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 374°F (190°C).
  2. Spread the almonds evenly on a baking tray lined with a silicone mat or baking paper.
  3. Roast the almonds in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until you start to smell their rich, toasty aroma.
  4. Remove the almonds from the oven and let them cool completely.
  5. Use a high-quality blender or food processor for the next steps.
  6.  Start by adding half of the cooled almonds to the blender and blend for about 2 minutes, until finely ground. Then, add the remaining almonds and continue blending.
  7. Blend until the almond purée is smooth and creamy, pausing every 2-3 minutes to prevent overheating.
  8. Once smooth, transfer your almond purée to a glass jar with a lid for storage.

Notes

Storage: Store almond purée in a sealed glass jar at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or refrigerate for longer freshness. It can also be frozen for up to 3 months.

Tips:

  • Toasting the almonds enhances flavor—don’t skip this step!
  • Blend in intervals to prevent overheating the purée.
  • Add a bit of oil if you prefer a smoother, creamier texture.
