Description
Recipe for Hot cocoa mug cake, a chocolate cake made with hot chocolate cocoa powder, chocolate chips and baked in a mug in the microwave (For 1 cup)
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp. (1/4 cup) flour - all-purpose
- 2 tbsp. Sugar
- 2 tbsp. Hot cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 tbsp. (1/4 cup) milk
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 tbsp. chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place the dry ingredients in the mug, flour, sugar , sweetened hot cocoa mix, baking powder and pinch of salt and mix with a tablespoon until well blended.
- Add the liquid ingredients, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla and mix again to obtain a smooth mixture without lumps.
- Then add the chocolate chips and mix just until incorporated.
- Cook in the microwave for about 1 minute to 1 1/2 minutes max until you have a soft chocolate mug cake.
- Let cool a bit then enjoy with vanilla ice cream or your favorite topping.
Notes
Conservation : Eat immediately or keep in the fridge for 1 day, you can warm it up slightly in the microwave.
- You can replace the vegetable oil with melted butter
- You can use dairy milk or plant-based milk
