Description

Recipe for Hot cocoa mug cake, a chocolate cake made with hot chocolate cocoa powder, chocolate chips and baked in a mug in the microwave (For 1 cup)


Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp.  (1/4 cup) flour - all-purpose
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar 
  • 2 tbsp. Hot cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp. (1/4 cup) milk 
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Place the dry ingredients in the mug, flour, sugar , sweetened hot cocoa mix, baking powder and pinch of salt and mix with a tablespoon until well blended.
  2. Add the liquid ingredients, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla and mix again to obtain a smooth mixture without lumps.
  3. Then add the chocolate chips and mix just until incorporated.
  4. Cook in the microwave for about 1 minute to 1 1/2 minutes max until you have a soft chocolate mug cake.
  5. Let cool a bit then enjoy with vanilla ice cream or your favorite topping.

Notes

Conservation : Eat immediately or keep in the fridge for 1 day, you can warm it up slightly in the microwave.
