INGREDIENTS 

2 puff pastry sheets

Almond cream filling

Step 1:  Make my Traditional French Puff pastry dough

Step 2: Mix all the ingredients to make the almond cream.

Step 3: Roll out a sheet of puff pastry on a work surface and fill the center with the almond cream.

Step 4: Cover with the other sheet of puff pastry and solder the edges. Draw a flower motif and cut out the edges.

Step 5: Add a layer of egg wash and draw a sun motif on the pastry with a knife.

Step 6: Bake the pithivier at 350°F for about 45 minutes until golden brown.

Enjoy : Leave to cool slightly before cutting and serving.
