Place fresh or frozen strawberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice on a saucepan heated on a medium low heat.
Stir occasionally and smash with a fork to obtain a strawberry purée.
At this stage, the coulis is ready and has the consistency of strawberry jam.
To obtain a smooth strawberry coulis, blend the mixture in a blender, then strain through a sieve to remove the seeds.
Place the coulis in a jar with a lid and leave to cool in the fridge. You can then use it to flavor your preparations and top your desserts.
