    Serving Suggestions

    • Filling Cupcakes: Use the ganache as a filling for chocolate or vanilla cupcakes for a delicious surprise in the center.
    • Filling Macarons: Use the ganache to fill chocolate or hazelnut macaron shells for a gourmet touch.
    • Covering and Topping Cakes: Use the ganache to coat a chocolate cake or a vanilla cake to give it a Kinder Maxi flavor.
    • Desserts: Use as a pie filling, in verrines, a Kinder tiramisu, to fill a number cake, decorate a chocolate brownie, etc.

    Tips for this recipe

    • Choosing the Right Ingredients: Use full-fat liquid cream with 30-35% fat content and Kinder Maxi bars to achieve a rich and creamy ganache.
    • Heating the Cream: In a saucepan, heat the full-fat liquid cream until it starts to simmer, but do not let it boil.
    • Blending: Use an immersion blender to smooth the ganache thoroughly.
    • Let It Cool Properly: It should be completely cold before whipping, ideally left overnight.
    • Do Not Whip Too Fast: Use an electric mixer instead of your stand mixer to whip the ganache, and keep an eye on its texture to avoid it becoming grainy.

    Storage instructions

In the Fridge: For whipped ganache, store it in the refrigerator under plastic wrap or in an airtight container, for up to 3 days maximum.

Freezer: Freezing is not recommended, unless it is used inside a cake. Upon thawing, its texture may be altered.

    Variations & Substitutions

    • Simple ganache: To make a non-whipped ganache, use just half the cream for a ganache similar to my Easy Chocolate Ganache.
    • Kinder Mascarpone ganache: Replace the cold heavy cream with mascarpone cheese and fold into the cold chocolate ganache with an electric mixer.
    • Kinder Bueno ganache: Follow this recipe for Kinder Bueno ganache (coming soon to the blog)
    • More chocolatey ganache: Replace ⅓ of the Kinder maxi bars with semi sweet chocolate for a more chocolatey ganache like a whiped chocolte ganache frosting, or add 1 -2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.
    • Firm Chocolate ganache frosting: For a firm ganache frosting perfect for converting cake try this chocolate ganache frosting.
    • Kinder Schoko-Bons ganache: Add Schoko-Bons for a hazelnut and chocolate-flavored ganache.

    Notes

*For the best baking results, I recommend using a digital scale to measure ingredients in grams instead of cups. Precise measurements ensure consistent and perfect outcomes every time.

Storage: Up to 3 days in the fridge under plastic wrap or in an airtight container (do not freeze).

Use heavy cream with at least 35% fat content if possible.

Add about 50 g of baking dark chocolate to melt along with the Kinder bars for a more chocolaty ganache.
