    Tips for this recipe

    • Use ripe bananas: Ripe bananas not only provide natural sweetness but also blend more easily, resulting in a smoother texture for your smoothie.
    • Frozen strawberries: Using frozen strawberries adds thickness and a refreshing chill to your smoothie without the need for ice cubes. Plus, it helps retain the fruity flavor.
    • Creamy peanut butter: Opt for creamy peanut butter to ensure a smooth consistency in your smoothie. You can also use almond butter or cashew butter as alternatives.
    • Liquid base: Choose a liquid base such as almond milk, coconut milk, or regular milk to help blend the ingredients smoothly.
    • Sweeteners: Depending on your preference and the ripeness of your fruit, you may not need additional sweeteners. However, if you prefer a sweeter smoothie, you can add honey, maple syrup, or a Medjool date for natural sweetness.
    • Texture boosters: For added texture and nutrients, consider adding ingredients like chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, oats, or spinach to your smoothie.

    Storage Instructions

In the fridge: This smoothie can be eaten immediately or stored in the fridge for the day.

    Variations & Substitutions

    • Add protein powder: Your vanilla protein powder or even chocolate protein powder or peanut butter powder.
    • Chocolate: If you like the taste of chocolate, you can add unsweetened cocoa powder or a healthy chocolate spread.
    • Yogurt: You can replace some of the milk with yogurt or vanilla greek yogurt to make a more thicker smoothie like a smoothie bowl or like this strawberry yogurt lassi.
    • Change fruits: Replace strawberries with other fruits such as apples, pears, raspberries or blueberries.

    Recipe Questions

Can I use fresh strawberries instead of frozen?

Yes, you can use fresh strawberries, but using frozen ones will result in a thicker and colder smoothie. If using fresh strawberries, consider adding ice cubes to achieve a similar texture.

Can I omit the peanut butter if I have allergies?

Of course! If you have peanut allergies or prefer to avoid peanut butter, you can omit it or substitute it with almond butter, cashew butter, or sunflower seed butter for a similar nutty flavor.

Can I customize this smoothie with other fruits?

Yes, feel free to get creative! You can add other fruits like bananas, blueberries, or mangoes to customize the flavor and nutritional profile of your smoothie.
