The Iced Chai Latte is a refreshing summer alternative to the classic hot chai tea latte, blending the same rich spices and black tea with cold milk and ice. It offers a perfect balance of the traditional chai's warmth and complexity in a cool, revitalizing beverage.
The iced chai latte is a beloved beverage known for its subtly spiced masala chai tea essence, featuring a black tea concentrate infused with a delightful blend of whole spices like cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves, all served over ice cubes.
The blend of spices are sweetened with natural sugar such as maple syrup or honey to which we also add milk, such as dairy milk or plant-based milk, which brings a creamy and softer texture.

Ingredients Notes
You need these ingredients to make this vanilla iced chai tea latte recipe:
- Chai concentrate: As in chai lattes regular recipes, a chai tea concentrate is made with only black tea bags and infused with masala spices like cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, cloves and other more intense spices.
- Milk: You can use whole milk or if like me you prefer dairy free milk like, oat milk, coconut milk, or soy milk or try my homemade almond milk recipe ready in just 10 minutes.
- Ice cubes: Use large ice cubes or for a chai tea latte frappe version you can use crushed ice by blending the ice cubes in a blender.
- Sugar and vanilla: Essential to sweeten the taste of spices and tea and to flavor your drink. I use a natural sugar like maple syrup that you can replace with honey or the sugar of your choice.
